Biography
She started to perform at the age of 4 and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film Shastra in 1996.
She appeared as a judge in Indian Idol in 5th and 6th season and as a couch in the Indian version of "The Voice".
She won several awards, including 3 Filmfare Awards: 2 for Best Female Playback and 1 RD Burman Award for New Music Talent. She's also contributed to various charities.
She she gave birth to a baby boy on January 1, 2018.
