Begüm Günceler is a Turkish musical actress.

Biography

She completed BFA degree at Viterbo University, WI; majored in Musical Theatre, minored in Dance. She also took Special Effects Make Up classes.She worked for Fine Arts Center and became one of the best members of the Backstage Crew during her studies. She played in a lot of musicals, including Les Miserables, Jekyll & Hyde, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Evita, Two Rooms, Romeo & Juliet, Chicago, A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Since 2009 she's been working as a dubber in Imaj Studios for Disney and teaching Musical Theatre Voice Lessons and Acting For Singers Lessons at Gülsin Gümüş Müzik & Dance School.

In 2010, she worked as a General Director's Assistant for a year at MTV Turkey, where she was the host for the TV program called Teknoloji Günlüğü. She was also the second-lead in a Turkish musical called Hekate'nin Şarkısı (Hekate's Song). She still lives in Istanbul.

In 2011 she worked at Purple Concerts as the Managing Director's Assistant. She's worked on various events and concerts, including Sonisphere Festivals, Iron Maiden, WhiteSnake, Jon Bon Jovi, Rammstein, Accept and Slipknot.

In 2012 she was cast as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical at Talimhane Theatre, where she stil works. The musical's directed by Mehmet Ergen. It ran for over a year and went on tour with the sponsorship of Akbank Sanat.

Now she's cast in a musical Seni Seviyorum, Mükemmelsin, Şimdi Değiş, an off-Broadway musical translated and adapted in Turkish and directed by Mehmet Ergen and Lerzan Pamir.
